Arrival to Lika-Senj Region

Through Lika passes motorway A1 Zagreb-Split-Ploče and state road D1 from Zagreb to Split over Plitvice lakes and railroad Zagreb-Knin-Split.
Most communities on the island are connected by a road. A 300 m long arch bridge connects the southern part of the island Pag to the mainland. The ferry Prizna - Žigljen connects the northern part of the island to the mainland.

By Car
The road car is the fastest version of arrival in Lika. From Zagreb to Gospić highway you can arrive in less than two hours and pay 76 kunas toll, a state, a very solid road that will take time for about three hours.

By Air
The nearest airports which can be reached from major European destinations are Zagreb, Zadar, Pula and Krk island (in Zadar and Krk lands low-cost airline Ryan Air)
From Zadar airport to Gospić distance is 120 kilometers, which means that you are in the center of Gospic in an hour and 30 minutes. If you decide to land at Rijeka airport (Krk) or Pula, arrival time is one hour long.

By Bus
The journey from Zagreb to Gospic bus is the most preferable option because on that route daily runs several carriers.
From Zagreb to Gospic will need about two and a half hours, and the price is about - 88 kunas, depending on the carrier.

Getting Arround the Lika
Getting around in Lika is easy. The car is the most common mode of transport and car rental agencies can be found in most major towns.
If you do not have a car, between the major cities you can go by local transport. Information about the timetable can be found at tourist info centers or bus stations.
