Pilgrim Tourism

On the Assumption Day on August 15 of each year, which is known here as “Velika Gospa”, which translates roughly as “The Great Lady”. This is a public holiday in Croatia and a large number of pilgrims visiting the Shrine of the Mother of God of Krasno in village Krasno below Velebit mountain. Welcome and accommodation is traditionally a great secured in apartments and rooms in the nearby houses for rent.

Every year, 13 to 16 July in Kuterevo near Otočac tens of thousands of faithful are coming on pilgrimage to Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
